Tropospheric Propagation

The company has been involved in troposperic studies for several applications, like for example the link budget computation for a communication system.

We even developped our own propagation software (GTM) to meet the special needs our costumers may have. Propagation links characteristics at the ground vicinity may be obtained as solutions of the parabolic equation or by asymptotic techniques. The ground is considered as irregular smooth or rough. Both coherent and incoherent components are calculated. The source is a point source antenna defined by the altitude, the gain, the polarization and the frequency. The ground is defined by the terrain profile and the electrical characteristics conductivity and permitivity. The atmosphere is defined by its index profile.
